Following a trial Speaker Meeting at the Barrington Centre, Ferndown on 29th January, the opinions of members and votes have been counted, and the Committee have decided to remain at Colehill, despite the increasing numbers of members and attendees.
To help reduce the "scrum"....
  • New Membership has been suspended for the moment but is under constant review. If you are still interested in joining us, then please use the Contact page  Contact Us  and leave your contact details, and we shall be in touch when we are able to start welcoming new members again.
  • Visitors... unfortunately we are also not accepting visitors to meetings, but again this will be reviewed on a regular basis. We have an email Distribution List to non members, letting them know about our meetings and trips, so if you would like to register for that, please leave your details on our Contacts page as detailed above.

Both of these moves are extremely disappointing but we need to do this for the safety and comfort of our current members.

Tea at meetings

In order to deal as speedily as possible with the queue for refreshments, we have tried to reduce payment of cash at the kitchen hatch. As everyone arrives, they seek out the member who is selling different coloured "tea-sticks", to designate tea, coffee and cake. Our members take it in turns to make the cakes - and they are all delicious.
