Nick Wray |
A curator at the University of Bristol's Botanic Garden since 2004. He is responsible for curating the Botanic Garden’s plant collections and promoting them as an educational and conservation resource. He was awarded the RHS Associate of Honour for his distinguished service to horticulture in 2016. His varied career includes involvement in The Eden Project and Gardeners World on BBC TV with Geoff Hamilton. |

One of Britain’s leading plantsman, Neil Lucas is a recognised authority on Ornamental grasses, owner of Knoll Gardens in Dorset, RHS Council member and Senior Judge, author and holder of ten consecutive Chelsea Flower Show Gold medals. When not judging, lecturing, writing or plant hunting overseas Neil can be found in his nursery or tending his acclaimed naturalistic garden at Knoll. |

Terry co-founded the Botanic Nursery, with Mary Baker, in 1976. As a garden designer he needed more plants and decided to propagate what he needed. The nursery, a 2 acre walled garden, is home to the National Collection of Digitalis. |

Val Bourne |
Val has won multiple awards including Journalist of the year from the Garden Media Guild. She is a regular contributor to The Daily Telegraph, amongst others, and she gardens on the windswept Cotswolds at Spring Cottage in Gloucestershire. Val is a hands-on gardener and a committed plantaholic. She manages her third of an acre garden without using any chemicals – something she has always believed in. |

Tim Stretton |
Head Gardener of the privately owned Folly Farm, will talk about the garden. It is a collaboration between Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll, and has been lovingly restored over a number of years. Tim has worked with Dan Pearson and the owners throughout the careful restoration to create a modern interpretation of a Jekyll Garden with the incorporation of the wider landscape. For those who have been fortunate to see it is a truly memorable garden. |

Paul Lewis |
Paul is an amateur plant breeder and is based on the Isle of Wight. He curated the National Collection of Crocosmia, and now breeds his own, including Paul’s Best Yellow and Hellfire. Breeding of Gladioli soon followed. Paul is involved with the RHS as a Field Trial Judge. |

Nick is known as a regular presenter of the BBC's Gardeners' World. He was also Head Gardener for London’s famous Chelsea Physic Garden, where he spent the last seven years redesigning the gardens and diversifying the plant collection. |

Timothy Walker |
Timothy has had a varied career in horticulture including training at The Saville Garden, Windsor and at The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kent. Having worked at the University of Oxford Botanic Garden and Harcourt Arboretum between 1986 and 2014, and winning 4 Gold, 2 Silver Gilt and 1 Silver medal at Chelsea Flower Shows. Timothy is now a stipenditary lecturer in Plant Sciences at Somerville College Oxford, Pembroke College and Hertford College. |

Mat is the Head Gardener at Malverleys, a beautiful private garden in Hampshire. He was due to give a talk at our National A.G.M in March 2020, but due to the pandemic, we had to cancel. We have therefore asked Mat to come and give the talk to our group only, as we filled 2 coachloads in 2018, and all thoroughly enjoyed it. |

Pippa is now best know as regular panellist and expert on plant pests and diseases on BBC Radio 4’s GQT’ and came to Colehill when we hosted the programme in 2017. She has worked on television and for many years ran the Plant Pathology Department at RHS Wisley. Pippa writes for various newspapers and magazines and is the author of several garden books. We are assured of an informative and lively afternoon! |
